Dear Friends and Partners,
I’m pleased to share an exciting leadership update at Acres for Life Therapy & Wellness Center. Annie Ricalde has officially joined our team as our new Chief Executive Officer, bringing more than two decades of global experience in equine-assisted psychotherapy, experiential learning, and trauma-informed care.
It is hard to believe that more than 25 years have passed since God met me in a dark, lonely pasture and planted the dream of Acres for Life in my heart. Today, Acres is a thriving place of hope, healing, and life, made possible by an extraordinary team—both human and animal. Together, we provided more than 3,600 therapy sessions last year, touching the lives of so many individuals and families.
I am deeply grateful to have had the privilege of co-founding and helping build Acres for Life over these first 25 years. None of this would have been possible without the support, encouragement, and dedication of all of you and so many others who have walked alongside us throughout this journey.
Welcoming Annie into this leadership role is an incredible blessing. I have complete confidence in her heart, vision, and leadership, and I am excited to continue supporting Acres for Life and our amazing team as we begin the next 25 years together.
While I will always proudly wear the hats of Co-Founder and Board Member, I also look forward to stepping into a new role—sharing the Acres for Life story, deepening relationships, and cultivating the partnerships that will help ensure this mission continues to flourish for generations to come.
