UPDATE: Acres for Life COVID-19 Statement – as of 5/04/20
With the continued evolving conditions around the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to check in with you all about the current situation here at Acres. We are very aware of practicing physical distancing while also doing our utmost to support social connection! This is a situation that is changing day by day – so here is where we are at as of now. Please take the time to read through this and do not hesitate to ask questions ~ thank you!
With the extended Minnesota Stay at Home order from Governor Walz that is set to stay in effect until May 4 , along with Executive Order 20-38 that allows the opening of some outdoor venues with proper distancing protocol, we are proposing the following:
Starting Monday, May 4 we will be rolling out our Hybrid Service Options – your choice of either:
- Back out at the farm during your regular session time following the COVID protocol that we have in place which includes: physical distancing (minimum of 6 feet), no entering of buildings, face coverings, and hand washing etc – SEE BELOW FOR UPDATED PROTOCOL.
- If you are more comfortable still sheltering at home, we can continue to utilize tele-health services.
Telehealth: For those of you interested in telehealth, these services will continue.
For those of you interested in returning to the pastures for In-Person sessions this is what that means:
LOCATION OF SESSIONS: ALL sessions and interactions will be held OUTSIDE in order to do our best to limit any possible exposure. We are asking that people wait in their car and we will meet you at your car at the time of your session. Note this includes no indoor spaces to wait – please wait in your vehicle, or if you are taking a med-ride please arrange for them to stay on the premises with you.
BOOTS ETC: Please note, at this time there will be NO borrowing of boots, coats, hats, and gloves. Please bring your own
resources to be outside -thank you!
IMPORTANT NOTE: we are asking all staff and all clients to bring and WEAR a mask/bandana/homemade face covering during the entire session – this is to do our best to limit exposure. We will also be asking everyone to wash their hands at the start of session – we will have a hose and some soap set aside for this – thank you!
DISTANCE: We will be maintaining the MINIMUM 6 feet of space recommendation throughout the entire session in order to respect physical distancing.
DO NOT COME TO IN-PERSON SESSIONS IF: If you are experiencing flu-like / virus symptoms / are feeling ill. This also includes if you know you have been exposed to COVID-19 / someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 / or someone who is showing symptoms of COVID-19 / illness. Note, if any of this is true for you, please do not come to your session as you can still pass the virus on to others, even if you yourself are not showing symptoms. Also do not come to in-person sessions if you have not been limiting your out of home excursions to essential trips only.
Thank you all so much for your patience ~ we will continue to update you as we learn more and adjust to the changing conditions. Please feel free to reach out to your mental health therapist or [email protected] if you have questions or need extra support. Above all ~ please take good care of each other ~ we will get through this!
