UPDATE: Acres for Life COVID-19 Statement – as of 3/20/20
UPDATE: With the continued evolving conditions around the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to check in with you all about the current situation here at Acres. We are very aware of practicing physical distancing while also doing our utmost to support social connection. This is a situation that is changing day by day – so here is where we are at as of now. Please take the time to read through this and do not hesitate to ask questions ~ thank you!
LOCATION OF SESSIONS: In the interest of continuing to follow best practices, we are no longer having any clients enter any buildings – ALL sessions and interactions will be held OUTSIDE in order to do our best to limit any possible exposure. We are asking that people wait in their car and we will meet you at your car at the time of your session. Note this includes no indoor spaces to wait – please wait in your vehicle, or if you are taking a med-ride please arrange for them to stay on the premises with you.
BOOTS ETC: Please note, at this time there will be NO borrowing of boots, coats, hats, and gloves. Please bring your own resources to be outside -thank you!
DISTANCE: We will be maintaining the 6 feet of space recommendation in order to respect physical distancing.
TRAVEL: If you have traveled out of state/on airlines recently, we are asking that you do not come to sessions for two weeks after returning home. Further, we are requesting that if you are attending sessions that you have limited your out of house excursions to essential trips only.
DO NOT COME TO SESSIONS IF: If you are experiencing flu-like / virus symptoms / are feeling ill. This can include fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, and other symptoms as the virus shows up potentially differently for different people. This also includes if you know you have been exposed to COVID-19 / someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 / or someone who is showing symptoms of COVID-19 / illness. Note, if any of this is true for you, please do not come to your session as you can still pass the virus on to others, even if you yourself are not showing symptoms.
NOTE: If you feel ill or may have been exposed, we are asking that you do not come to the farm. Instead, contact us and let us know via phone / email and stay home! This will not be counted as a late cancel or a missed appointment, as we understand that you are doing your best to take care of yourself and your family.
STAFF: Acres staff has committed to staying home if they are ill, if they have potentially become exposed, or have traveled.
SCHEDULE: At this time Acres is still OPEN for individual therapy appointments with these protocols in place. We are aware that this could change at any time so please continue to check your email for updates. We are also actively looking into telehealth options should we need to close in the future. Thank you all so much for your patience ~ we will continue to update you as we learn more and adjust to the changing conditions.
NO GROUPS: Please note at this time ALL GROUPS ARE PUT ON HOLD ~ we will be revisiting this decision in two weeks ~ so be watching for further updates in April.
Thank you ~ The Acres Team – human, horse, dog, cat, and chicken
